Johnny's first new studio album release in seven years was recorded in SE Florida at Markee Music Studios. The album rediscovers Childs at a newfound peak with heartfelt songwriting and an unparalleled Blues Rock prowess delivered with a tasty and deeply evocative feel. "You can hear the pain, passion and love in every single note of Johnny Childs" (Wasser Prawda Magazine). ‘Crazy Beautiful Blues’ follows Johnny’s constant evolution as he continues to forge ahead, bending genres, breaking down walls and defying the odds of the music industry. The new album showcases a dialed in Childs with 8 new originals and 4 well placed and reworked signature covers. An eclectic mix of hard driving blues rock with hypnotic grooves such as the title track Crazy Beautiful Blues, Night Driver, Gonna Miss You and a searing rendition of Jeff Healy's See The Light, fast stomping boogies with My Baby Likes To Boogie and the instrumental Chromatic Boogie, as a well a soothing melodic chapter featuring Fairwell My Love, I'm A Crow, The Healing Game, and Real Gone, this album has it all. The instrumental Bluespocalypse features a ferocious guitar vertuosity that combines a roller coaster of raw emotion and skill with blues, rock and neo classical riffing in a dramatic yet fun arrangement.
